How to play
You are the investigator assigned to the reopened Mercer case. Work through the archive in order — the answers are in the evidence, not in the questions.
Start here. Read what happened in Bellhaven the night of 18 July 1994, and what the lake gave back thirty years later.
Learn who Olivia Mercer was — her life, her circle, the last night anyone saw her.
Evidence opens in three stages. Examine each item, then work through the questions at the end of a stage before moving on.
Six names on file. For each, weigh the means, the motive, and the opportunity on the night she vanished.
When the file is closed in your mind, name the killer. You get three attempts. Choose carefully.
Every closed case goes on the leaderboard. Detectives who name the right killer rank first, ordered by time — the fastest at the top. Hints don't count against you, and the clock stops while the game is paused.
